Toms River North’s Jared Bellissimo delivered a two run single that proved to be the winning hit in the Jersey Shore’s 7-2 win over Delaware North to claim the Philadelphia Phillies Carpenter Cup.  SSZ has the highlights and post-game reaction from Citizens Bank Park

The Jersey Shore gave up two runs in the top of the first, but the pitching staff threw eight scoreless innings and a middle innings offensive surge gave the Shore the Carpenter Cup title.  Toms River North’s Jared Bellissimo gave the Jersey Shore a 3-2 lead with a two run single and was named the Carpenter Cup MVP after going 5-6 with 6 RBI’s in two games at the Phillies Citizens Bank Park.  It’s the fifth time the Jersey Shore has won the Philadelphia Phillies 16 team all-star high school baseball tournament, the first since 2014.  SSZ has all the highlights and post-game reaction of the Jersey Shore’s championship win:
