The Jersey Shore All-Stars score a 13-5 win over Tri-Cape to advance to the Philadelphia Phillies Carpenter Cup Semifinals and a game this Monday at Citizens Bank Park.  SSZ has highlights and post-game reaction from the big win at Richie Ashburn Park in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – The Jersey Shore All-Stars pounded out 19 hits and got six solid innings from Manasquan’s Tommy Sheehan and Shore Regional’s James Kelly to score a 13-5 win over Tri-Cape and advance to the Carpenter Cup semifinals.   Jersey Shore is the defending champion and returns to the big league home of the Philadelphia Phillies for the semifinals on Monday.  Wall catcher Dan Wondrack led the way with a 2-run homer and an RBI double to drive in three runs.  Tri-Cape scored four runs in the 7th to get within 6-5, but Jersey Shore’s second unit pulled away with seven runs in the final two frames.  Ocean’s Brian Kochenash, Manalapan’s Chris Rodriguez and Middletown South’s Austin Markmann combined to go 7-7 with 3 runs and 5 RBI’s.  Sheehan threw the first htree innings to get the win, giving up one unearned run.  Kelly followed with three perfect frames.  Watch the highlights from FDR Park in Philadelphia here:
