PHILADELPHIA – SOL National Bicentennial scored 7 runs in the 2nd inning and put the game away with a 4-run 9th to win the 2015 Carpenter Cup 12-6 over the Jersey Shore All-Stars at the Philadelphia Phillies Citizens Bank Park.  The Jersey Shore mounted a comeback with a 4-run 5th inning that saw Freehold Township’s Joe Silvestrone and Wall’s Ryan Orender deliver RBI base hits and Anthony Bartolomei of Ocean Township plate two with a shot to centerfield.  SSZ has highlights and post-game reaction:

 

Jersey Shore was seeking to become just the second team in the 30-year history of the tournament to repeat as champions.  The Carpenter Cup is a 16 team All-Star tournament hosted by the Phillies that features teams from Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey
