Gavin Gulash scored four goals in front of a capacity crowd as the Eagles opened the season with a win over their crosstown rival. Gulash scored back to back goals in the first period to give Middletown South a 3-1 lead. The Lions got a goal from Brad Heuer to get within 3-2, but never could draw even.
