Sarah Szynal had six goals and four assists to lead a dominating effort by Summit in a 15-3 win over RBC in the Group 2 New Jersey state championship at Monmouth University. The Caseys played a solid first half, tying the game at three on a goal by Julie Krasutsky, but Summit would take a 5-3 lead at the half on a goal by Szynal. Summit was dominant in the second half, outscoring Red Bank Catholic 10-0.
Senior Amanda Casten scored her 100th goal of the season in the loss, while fellow senior Grace Fallon had RBC’s other goal. The Caseys finish the season with a record of 21-3.
