CBA ace Luca Dalatri has been named Gatorade’s New Jersey high school baseball player of the year

CBA’s Luca Dalatri has been named Gatorade’s New Jeresy high school baseball player of the year and the junior from Wall has the numbers to back it up.  The right hander is 8-0 with an ERA under 1.00 on the mound for the 23-5 Colts.  He has an amazing strikeout to walk ratio of 103 to 6.  In addition, he’s hitting nearly .400 with 6 homers.  CBA is currently in contention for the Shore Conference and state titles.  The Colts host Immaculata in the Non-Public South “A” Semifinals on Friday and will take on archrival RBC for the Shore Conference title on Monday at the home of the Lakewood Blue Claws.  Dalatri was on the hill when the Colts beat Wall for the Monmouth County championship.

Previous winners of the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year include Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels and Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello.  Shore Sports Zone has brought you plenty of Luca Dalatri highlights over the last two years.  Here’s a few of Luca’s best moments:
