CBA pitcher Luca Dalatri was named a first team high school All-American by Baseball America

CBA pitcher Luca Dalatri was named a first team All-American by Baseball America, an honor reserved for just six pitchers in the country.  Dalatri closed out a magnificent high school career with a 9-0 record for the Colts.  Dalatri had a 0.42 ERA and a final official strikeout to walk ratio of 121 to 4.  He finished as the Shore Conference’s all-time wins leader with 35 going undefeated in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.  Dalatri was a 40th round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies, but has opted to begin his college baseball career at the University of North Carolina.  Dalatri is on the first team All-American list with five other pitchers; four first round picks and one second round selection.   Barnegat’s Jason Groome, a first round pick of the Red Sox was a second team All-American.
