John Corbett threw seven shutout innings relying on his defense to pace Barnegat to a 2-0 win over Wall in the Shore Conference Baseball Tournament semifinals at Count Basie Field in Red Bank. The Bengals scored two runs in the top of the first and made it hold up the rest of the way. Corbett had no strikeouts, but was able to induce a number of ground ball outs and harmless flyouts in the outfield.
