Central Regional and Toms River East are out of post-season contention after a fight resulted in three ejections from each team

The NJSIAA has confirmed to multiple media outlets that both Central Regional and Toms River East will be ousted from the playoffs following a fight in the Golden Eagles 42-0 win over the Raiders that saw three players ejected from each team.  NJSIAA rules state that any team that reaches three ejections during the course of the season are not eligible for post-season play.  Central was off to a 2-0 start to the season, while Toms River East fell to 0-1 following its opening game.

All six players who were ejected on Friday night will sit out this week’s games.  Central travels to Wall while Toms River East hosts Toms River South.
